Pastoral Care
Providing comfort, guidance, and hope through God's abiding presence.
Pastoral care lies at the heart of the Christian community. It is the ministry of presence – being there for one another in joy, in sorrow and in the quiet in-between. It is a resilient witness to the abiding presence of God’s love.
At St Michael the Archangel Church, we offer support to all church members, and strive for a fellowship where no one feels alone, unseen or forgotten. Whether through a listening ear, a home visit, a phone call, or a simple prayer, we aim to embody the compassion of Jesus Christ in practical ways.
Our Pastoral Care team actively visits our local care homes and those unable to attend church in person. These visits provide emotional, social and spiritual support, with an opportunity for genuine connection and fellowship between Christians.
Pastoral visits can have a powerful, profound impact on both the visitor and the visited.
As we grow and respond to new needs, we hope to develop even more ways to reach out and stay connected. It is of the utmost importance that no one is over-looked or forgotten, and personal connection with the congregation is maintained.
We are truly privileged to have a team of faithful members who check in, pray and reach out in love.
If you have a heart for caring and feel nudged to be part of this ministry, we would be grateful to hear from you.
Visits can be conducted by anyone who is willing and trained.
